BANANO: Visit to the Hacienda Rodeo Grande & Skipper, this elegant farm house
built in 1980 has 275 acres of bananas for export to the USA and Europe
and also has 3000 acres cattle farm with a herd of 1500 heads of cattle
and buffaloes being worked by cowboys in the traditional way. The extensive
use of the land allows ranching to coexist with the abundant wildlife
that includes many types of birds, sloths, iguanas, squirrels, turtles
and snakes. There are many natural flowering trees that with their pink,
orange, yellow and blues make for a beautiful setting. SHRIMP AND AQUACULTURE: Ecuador is a paradise for aquaculture. We offer two possibilities for
this tour. The first one is traveling to Playas (One hour from Guayaquil)
where you will be able to visit a huge Shrimp farm and the rest of the
day you can enjoy of this fishing and rustic town. The second possibility
is to visit in Santa Lucia (in the countryside of the Guayas province)
where a little but charming farm of red claws (a specie of little lobsters)
has developed an ecological way to work. After lunch, we will visit the
biggest company in Ecuador that exports seafood. COCOA & COFFEE: The visit begins in the ecological foundation Andrade where it is possible
to explorer 260 species in extinction. This ecological site has 2000 acres
of forest with birds and mammals. The tour finish at the Hacienda Las
Cañas where the tourist will appreciate the technology used to
improve the seeds of Cacao. Also you will share the traditions of the
countryside men as their dances and their rustic way of living. EXOTIC FRUITS AND
VEGETABLES: The Guayas province has developed an irrigation
system that is permitting for harvesting new export products in this region
as Mango, Papaya, hearth palm and more. Only this region has been named
"the food-store for America" for some futuristic people. We
will visit the CEDEGE company (who built this) and some farms where we
will appreciate their technology and taste the fruits directly provide
